I stand corrected, the fire originated in a hydrocracking unit. That would actually correlate more with what witnesses reported due to the sound and intensity of the fire rather than a leaking liquid fire, the unit is shown below and is slightly northwest of that vessel I mentioned above

It would be wild if there was, perhaps, an entire program mediated by the EPA and OSHA to regulate highly hazardous materials that was also extended to include refineries and an organization had recommended the NFPA reclassify refinery products. Unfortunately such a program does not exist!

Oh I see it is a severely worn away hook from a transmission tower that sparked and started the fire which destroyed the town of Paradise, thanks. Anyway, love those guys over at PG&E. They’ve never done anything wrong idk why you guys pick on them so much

By midwest standards where things are designed to break and then rebuilt easily (tornado alley and such), I am routinely impressed that we do not lose power more often. Strangely the most severe power outages we have are often from MVAs…

We had .82” of rain in less than five hours and we didn’t have a single power outage here AND my internet connectivity even remained intact. PG&E is a silly goose
