Science is real unlike Internet fantasy
There is a tide in the affairs of man. It goes out. It comes in

I suspect we have seen the high tide for Elon

But then - I am an optimist

No - he really cannot
December 7, 2025 at 11:08 PM
Yep - at least we know the Afrikaaner immigrant cannot become President
December 7, 2025 at 11:06 PM
if you say so... my reading is the Orange Ego saw they had serious money and milked them

Trump enabled Trump - not Musk
December 7, 2025 at 11:03 PM
The idea that the "alt right" is some dark Illuminati conspiracy - rather than happenstance enabled by the Orange Idiot - I dispute

It is always attractive to find patterns (we are genetically programmed to do so) but that does not make them significant

Perhaps I am biased - I do listen to the Meidas Touch

But it really does look like Trump is spinning out of control
December 7, 2025 at 10:43 PM
They will try....

But it won't work
The jerrymandering may well backfire as their support ebbs
December 7, 2025 at 10:38 PM
???

Nope - don't get it. Sorry!

I do not underestimate the damage Trump is wreaking - but he is not able to impose tyranny on the US - it is not Russia
December 7, 2025 at 10:34 PM
Except they will not get elected...

The midterms will remove the Orange idiot's scope, and that will be that

He will not be replaced in 2028 by a republican
December 7, 2025 at 10:31 PM
He's 79 and losing his faculties

I think it will work out - but European & other democracies should permanently abandon reliance on the yanks
December 7, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Well the polls have the Dems ahead for 2026 midterms - granted that is not exactly a socialist revolution - but we'd not expect one with the yanks

It will pass - will some other country that matters to us (like the UK?) acquires a leader as toxic as Trump?

But I'm thinking the yanks as a whole aren't so septic they want to repeat the experience so will change their Constitution to prevent that

Mankind - forever preparing for the last war....

All this tells us is the older have more savings than debts, and the very young take their cue from others & have no debts of their own
December 7, 2025 at 8:30 PM
Well - there are many fantasists - I hesitate to use an abusive term for its disciples - even with a typo
December 7, 2025 at 8:25 PM
....or maybe that perhaps a Rabbi should forebear from comment on UK politics?

Especially using the word "trump" in any way
December 7, 2025 at 8:18 PM
We have been hearting such stories for over 20 years.... somehow it never happens

And those young 1st time voters? Some will vote Reform...
December 7, 2025 at 7:40 PM
I did not claim Labour are popular - but that most pf the population will not opt for something further left

Who exactly has over 30% now? It ain't Zack.....
December 7, 2025 at 6:30 PM
The Greens are not polling over 20%

Most democratic govts in these tricky times are polling low - we are all pissed off that the world is so troubled and most have not seen their situation improve since the Bankers fucked up in 2007/8 - so blame govt
December 7, 2025 at 6:29 PM
When are the Left going to understand they cannot sustain the support of more than 20% of the population?

That is BEFORE their elevation to power - once in, it would rapidly fall into single figures
December 7, 2025 at 6:18 PM
What - as distinct from "illiberal" , "extremist", "fantasy"?

Everything the UK should steer clear of like the plague?

And whilst it is true the country was sick of the Tories and that is the reason Labour won.... it does not follow many had a Damascene conversion to the other end of the spectrum
December 7, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Agreed - Scots in general are too canny to fall for his BS

Not sure about Wales though.....

Those MPs lost the whip for voting against the King's Speech - that is a normal sanction for such indiscipline
