Reason I'm sharing this story is three-fold

1️⃣ My friends who game keep asking about how to be heard.
2️⃣ Don't judge books by covers. Their pages may hold gold.
3️⃣ Be brave, think deep & share those thoughts with courage.

This story something you relate to? Feel like your ideas get ignored or not?

One stood out, said "I've never seen this idea before..." and just timidly said something out of nowhere. Added idea to list immediately.

They thought more like a developer than a majority of people I know. Their job? basic labor for a living, hope the bosses realize how clever they are.

This thought came to me while watching some really competent people play a game prototype/alpha. Lots of valuable feedback that helped. But simultaneously, a lot of ideas/suggestions that were simply the classic "Just make it more like this game"

Reasonable takes.

"I'm trying to" are the words near the start of the journey.

"I did it" comes after "I'm trying to".
Sometimes "Uh oh" or "oops" comes between. That's ok.

But today and in the future there is a you that will look back and be proud of how you started with "I'm trying to".

I'm proud of you too.

It was at this moment that Badger felt hopeful. He was not aware of the trials and tribulations waiting for him. His plight would last months, years until the final moments of tribulation and jubilation. And as he looked back on the carcass of a game he enjoyed, he chuckled and said "... +284%"
