Don’t suppose you have a copy of the paper/ remarks? Would be very interested to read if possible! Completely agree though, current political climate makes any sort of critical approach impossible

Yeah I don’t really see how I’d have had the time to do that during my social research MRes, for the reasons you highlight. Stats was completely new to me, having studied law before. Even SPSS felt like a shock to the system

I mean, sure, but it’s a bit more complicated than that. There’s a whole literature on the challenges of evidence-based policymaking, and they are numerous!

Don’t entirely disagree, but worth reading Holly Smith’s brilliant new book on the history of high rise - particularly the chapter on Park Hill. Didn’t always go entirely well…
