Good article. Elephant in the room many of us in the West dont see? Power in ruzzia is not centered around one person (putin) but around the all-penetrating System. This System is being nourished by ruzzia’s secret services, who in turn appoint the front-men like putin.

Does he really need more PR? More attention? Over some guy’s corpse? Come on NYT!

I see some ruZZian trolling here in the comments. That says a lot. Here a sober analysis, for a balance:

Why Andriy Yermak’s ouster is a political earthquake for Ukraine

Dat had ik ook op mijn basisschool in Polen en later op mijn gymnasium. Het IJzeren Gordijn staat nog steeds in volle glorie in Noord-Korea.

Incredible how high the corruption (or corruption suspicion) went. Will Zelenskyy be spared?

Good for Ukraine.

The audio leak of Steve Witkoff advising the Russian side what to do, what to say and how to progress is nothing more but collaboration with Moscow, probably even more. It further confirms what I was writing on Sunday when the US Senators were actively rejected this.

Has Witkoff been recruited by GRU?

Amen.

I contemplated this for a moment, Joerg. For me, the essence lies in the fact that in Western culture, we too often engage with substitute problems to avoid confronting the real issues. This perspective suggests that Trump is not the cause, but rather a symptom of deeper societal challenges.

He should resign.

And then Rubio denied what Rounds said and now the shitshow is complete.

The most logical peace plan I’ve seen so far.

So fascism is a part of biology, an environmental element, inseparable from our human nature. So it has always been there and always will be, as long as we exist?

Exactery, SNAFU. I grew up behind the Iron Curtain, where the only space available was one of dictatorial control. Then, one day, it all vanished like a mirage, leaving me questioning if it had ever truly existed. I believed it had disappeared for good, but now it appears to be creeping back...
