105. Smiling Friends season 3 (7/10)

Had higher highs in terms of jokes this season, but the quantity of lulls where jokes are happening but aren't funny exceeds the last seasons.
I really like the different animation styles this season. Halloween and Squim episode were my favorites.

104. Shadow of the Colossus (replay)

Loaded up for a quick playthrough. It's a game I was truly enamored with when I was a kid and I still view it pretty highly, but my enjoyment of it as a game has definitely weaned over the years.
As a game and for the vibes, I think I like ICO more now.

103. Rayman Raving Rabbids (6/10)

I do have a soft spot for this game due to growing up with it. It was the first Wii game I owned. Switches between sensory overload and monotonous. Rail shooting segments are pretty fun. The most I get out of this game is the really cool Rayman 4 assets

102. Metroid: Other M (1/10)

One of the most boring action games I've ever played. The fact it wears Super Metroid as a skin for most of it's bullshit is the most insulting part of it. I actually have extreme difficulty thinking of a single thing I liked about it when I played it.

It is one of the weaker examples of ArtePiazza's output from back when they largely supported productions, but the other studio that was put on it was Matrix Software who would go on to butcher the Erdrick trilogy on mobile.

My finest gameplay moment in City Trials so far is seeing two guys fighting over who gets Hydra and stealing from both just before the game ended.
There is no more euphoric feeling I've had playing a game this year than this.

101. Kirby Air Riders (10/10)

Outside of City Trial being the best multiplayer experience ever. The added single player mode as well as the racing modes make this the most tightly packed and COMPLETE Sakurai project since Kid Icarus Uprising. One of the most heartfelt of his projects too

100. Half-Life (replay)

The hopium for a potential HLX announcement soon had me fiending for a replay. Took no screenshots but y'all know what Half-Life looks like.
Second time playing on hard mode, which is not a recommended way to play this game unless you're handy with quick save/quick load

99. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (7.5/10)

Injecting more story into Prime is fine, but I didn't really care about the characters they introduced.
Hypermode is a very fun core mechanic of this game. Moment to moment gameplay is fun but exploration still isn't. A lasting problem with the Prime games

Someone needs to stop Vince Gilligan. He can't keep getting away with putting Rhea Seehorn in these situations

98. There Will Be Blood (10/10)

A friend kept referencing this despite never having watched it, so I took him through it.
It is to this day, still one of the most raw displays of evil I've ever seen. Fantastically shot and all-time performances from Lewis and Dano. Wonderful movie.

97. Adam's Apples (6.5/10)

A Neo-nazi who's been put in a church program tries to make a priest lose his faith. It kind of doesn't go anywhere with this despite having a nice core message about prejudice. It's heavy handed and kind of shallow, but it's got some funny moments

96. The Green Butchers (8/10)

Two butchers open a new butcher shop together and accidentally serve human meat as chicken to roaring success. It's a crazy concept that leads to tons of macabre humor and some sinister thriller undertones. Very funny and also performed in a sober realistic way.

95. Flickering Lights (8.5/10)

A hilarious danish dark comedy featuring 4 gangsters trying to escape the crime life by starting a restaurant. It's incredibly quotable, I have heard multiple lines from this movie from just talking to other people growing up. The cast is fantastic.

94. Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake (9/10)

We now have yet another version of Dragon Quest 1, and it's a really good one. Probably the best version purely based on how they redesigned the game to have no progression bottlenecks even if you know what you're doing, and the amazing new combat gimmicks

Case and point in terms of the money situation. I'm barely an hour in and I already had enough money to buy a steel broadsword at Galenholm for 1700 G. That's something that would've taken 3-4 hours in any other version of the game.

93. Once Upon A Katamari (9/10)

The most I've enjoyed a Katamari since We Love Katamari, and in many aspects it's a send up to the variety gameplay that game was trying to do.
The addition of powerups doesn't feel quite needed, but changing scenery through time travel is a novel and brilliant idea
