Hmmmm...
Gut feeling is to disagree on all three, so am also pondering.

Very impressive!
My classroom decoration has begun, with a skeleton draped in fairy lights and wearing a Santa hat & beard.

I'm even older. Not sharing. 😂

It's amazing.
Also Shrinking.

I suppose this is an instance where you tailor your lessons to the learners, and I've done this enough times now in my context that I know it works there.

Every classroom is different.

Best Nails on Belmont Road.
The nail techs have zero interest in customer chat, which suited me fine yesterday 😁

Just worked out that if it first appeared in Vol 2 of the magazine, and the current volume is Vol 38....then I may have first encountered it when I was doing A-levels myself!

I've shared this before but always happy if it finds a new audience somewhere, and I hope the author would be too. It's pretty old but some students, particularly if they're linguists, love it.

It's just something I build in, and I do think it's worth the extra minute. Explaining poly- and di- and mono- when we do carbohydrates will absolutely help students when we get to proteins and nucleic acids.

This reminds me I need to restock the chocolate drawer in work for December.
Doing my bit for cognition 😁

I have found two places now that take walk-ins, one near work and one near home. Very handy!

I was getting tired of seeing them under my visualiser looking meh. 😂

Whom? 🤷‍♀️

That's quite clever, because it makes it look like she's the enlightened one.
You can see how someone is drawing these people in. But who?

There's a synthesis there, in the connectedness, that I think the memories are the foundation of.

I've to take big son to work but I will ponder!
November 30, 2025 at 8:27 AM
True. I think it fundamentally invoves memory, but not memory alone.
November 30, 2025 at 8:18 AM
Feels to me like more than memory alone. Proper learning includes an aspect of understanding and connecting.
I know that when my students have memorised the light dependent stage of photosynthesis and can reproduce the diagram, we're only half way there on the learning.

It's a curmudgeonly old thing that needs allowances made for it at every turn. Timetabler has to remember stuff that Nova can't be told. Can't cope with the modern ways of multiple part-time and flexible working patterns.

All of this is fine in humans, but not in software, in 2025 😂

Not sure I've anywhere to go, he's always seemed pretty unique to me 😁
