I assumed it was the White House basement and it had just made the news, like when the orange dipshit wandered onto the roof.

Exploring new directions, accidentally triggered a security measure designed for when there was an incoming missile or some such, maybe?

For a second I thought you meant the orange dipshit that is everyone’s problem. 😂

Of all the weird things to have be specifically helpful, withdrawal definitely isn’t one I expected. Glad it works for you!

How did you decide between patch and gum? I’ve been pondering trying nicotine for ADHD for the past few days and was leaning towards the patch, as steady appealed to me.

How long does a dose help for?

Ah, the joys of the things that are hardest for people with ADHD being required to get medications for ADHD.

I mean… it’s worked for me a few times. Has to be just a bit, of course, or the concentration is useless for getting anything done that requires proper thinking.

And even those cases would be assholes for saying this to an author, ESPECIALLY an author talking about their frustration with piracy. (Except J.D. Vance)
November 25, 2025 at 12:53 PM
What point is there to doing that aside from being cruel? Stop. You’re being an asshole. There are barely any excusable situations for book piracy, and if you have access to a library and it’s not “Hillbilly Elegy”, you aren’t one of those cases.
November 25, 2025 at 12:53 PM
You say this after saying that you routinely pirate books, so you’re not in the “unaware of libraries that you can access” group. You pirate books before deciding if the author is worthy of being paid for their work.

This does seem to be the second group you mention.

You decided to tell a writer.

Probably the same reason that we focus on breast cancer in women rather than in men.

Men can get breast cancer, a study back in the 90s showed that eating broccoli reduced the risk for men relative to other vegetables.

We still don’t have Men’s Breast Cancer Month though.

Maybe NOT the thing to say to an author. “Sure, I stole from you and your friends, but I paid you back after I decided you were worthy!” is not the defense you think it is.

Use a library; you don’t pay and the author gets paid.

And if you REALLY, honestly, somehow do not have a library? Shut up.

Like you know it's a shitty world for people giving birth when they're jealous of an animal giving birth in a barn just because the person taking care of her is trying to be respectful and compassionate and kind.

“Violate”
“Break”
There are many accurate options for this headline, making it curious that you chose an inaccurate one.

And Benadryl doing absolutely nothing to help you sleep. Codeine goes so far as to give me insomnia!

“Paradoxical drug reactions” to stimulants and things that help most people sleep are common enough to be considered at least a hint, though other things can also be the cause.

Paradox has a lovely workaround by making ALL of the previous patch versions available as beta branches.

Which, when you consider what percentage of patches include changes large enough to break your ongoing game, is a very nice thing!

Doesn’t help that I play slow and they tend to patch fast.

It was Peeps for me. My (very young) son told me “We never have to go in the candy aisle at Walgreens again!”

I still sometimes choke up seeing Peeps at holidays, I miss my dad sometimes.

Oh man, this sounds like an actual critique of a story in creative writing class around 1991.
Other students: The character's actions don't seem realistic.
Author: But I did this. This is what happened to me in real life.
Prof: Fiction has to be better than real life.
