Also, we all know full well this isn’t about drugs. If we cared about ending drug addiction in this country we would take care of people better by funding child welfare, harm reduction, addiction recovery, housing, food etc. Trump bombing these boats is to distract us from the Epstein files.

There is not record of anyone saying that to Rittenhouse. Had Rittenhouse stayed home, and not had delusions of grandeur, no one would have died that night. If Rittenhouse had been killed by any of the three people he shot, they too would have had reason to plead self defense.

That’s not how law enforcement works, at least in country with the rule of law. If people break the law. In a country where laws matter suspects are arrested and tried by a jury with a judge. When people are killed outside of the judicial system, it’s a crime.

They have wanted to do a lot of this stuff for decades, but they knew it would be bad for their political careers. Now they can get all of their wish list done (all of it is wildly unpopular stuff) and blame Trump. I think they glibly see this as a reset.

Trump is very easy to make fun of and republicans are all lying hypocrites, so this follows.

Again with the name calling. Name calling makes your argument look even weaker. The plain and simple fact is we don’t just kill people we don’t like. Giving them a name like “narco-terrorist” is a very small fig leaf to cover their murders. Without due process we don’t live in a country of laws.

Depends on how much of Trump’s crypto they buy.
December 8, 2025 at 8:44 PM
I’m glad you’re afraid to say that, because that’s not a great argument. If it were “common sense” to bomb boats these boats why has this action elicited near unanimous legal condemnation and several key allies in the “war on drugs” have stopped helping us in the regions of these bombings?

I don’t agree that there was “no evidence” that he didn’t contribute to the beginnings of the altercation. As I said before, not guilty does not mean innocent, and in my opinion, the state did a poor job of presenting their case, and also picked the wrong charges.

That does not really sound like a “direct threat” to the US. But also, that’s the fast boats (if that’s what these boats are) around 2 days to travel the 1300 miles. So we’re back where we started (i.e. that’s plenty of time to detect, intercept, and apprehend them for trial; not murder them).

Nice lanyard on that medal!

I hope this doesn’t appease him, because I’d say I want a Trump who is vying for the Nobel Peace Prize a lot more than a Trump who isn’t, given the kind of violence he has perpetrated while trying to get the Nobel Peace Prize, imagine what he would do if he didn’t care about getting the prize.

I would love it if Dems would stack the SCOTUS with reasonable appointees. There is no reason we should keep the SCOTUS at 9 justices.

what follows immediately after the birthright clause? the privileges and immunities and due process clauses? and what follows them? the equal protection clause. all of this is explicitly to say, "the declaration is the constitutional law of the land"

the birthright clause was not just written to wipe dred scott off of the books, it was written to repudiate the *idea* behind dred scott, you might say the larger *ideological project* of dred scott. and the whole of section 1 of the 14th amendment is a constitutional statement of political equality

Not gunna lie, that hat and beard would be a huge improvement for Trump.

I used to know this prepper-type he would always talk so wistfully about “bugging out” and dreamed of having an isolated cabin somewhere. That made me realize just how isolated the modern man is, to actually believe we don’t need each other.
December 6, 2025 at 8:45 PM
I do think that the ease of life in the modern world makes us yearn for the difficulties and struggles of ancient human life, without the ability to actually conceptualize such difficulties. I think recreational activities fulfill that need. So, go out and play community softball my dude (to the OP)

Why would anyone want to go to war with the other political party? Also, I think we can now put to be d the idea that anyone other than right wingnuts are calling for political violence.
