Blastoise and Venusaur are stretches! Manectric is not, as it is clear from the front. I think at a certain number of obvious instances of the motif (word op doesn't like to use for this FWIW), it becomes possible the motif was intentional even in designs where it is a stretch.

Like the point I'm making is that Pokemon that are drawn from the side still tend to be seen in game from the front, and mons like Ampharos and Manectric have a strong motif taken from the front.

Yes no matter how powerful someone is, they do not deserve to be victims of a genocide. But stuff like taking away phones to direct kids away from a "wall of carnage" does make it seem like in her eyes the Palestinians have enough power to deserve some of it.

The crux I'm seeing here is that the "weak/strong" distinction is flawed because so much of bigotry (especially antisemitism) is about framing your enemies as the ones who hold all the power and responsibility.
But it also implies that if young Jewish people see Israel as having power, it's a lie.
