Tech tubers (aside from Luke Miani) are cowards.

MKBHD, Quinn Nelson, Linus, all of them are a bunch of fucking cowards

listening to Bowie's Low album in your 40s is a completely different experience than listening to it in your 20s or 30s ...

Always Crashing in the Same Car and A New Career in a New Town just hit that much harder ...

I don't trust people who do not like DK Bananza

I recognize that you exist and I accept you have different tastes from mine

but I don't trust you

The Stranger Things finale has reaffirmed my belief that I should never invest in any fantasy show ever again ...

also DnD is fucking stupid

This should be the default position of any decent person
And I think liberals should stop taking the bait and ceding ground on immigration.

Immigration is good. Multiculturalism is good. Free trade is good. Stop being embarrassed to say so.

Everytime I rewatch The Wire, I realize I have more in common with Zig than I would like to admit. James Ransone played him perfectly. What a loss to his family and to the world ...

I've been thinking about this a bit too much but I'm convinced that the #Community movie should start with the death of Jeff Winger, which becomes the reason for the rest of the characters to return to Greendale. Jeff will still play a huge role in the movie (flashbacks and stuff), but he has to die

I'm guessing the reason why the CGI in the first few episodes of IT: Welcome to Derry was so bad was because they spent all their money on the final four episodes because man - what a wonderful finale ... RICH!!!!!!

Finished playing #Dispatch and I have thoughts.

Overall I liked it. Art and voice acting are great and makes up for a lot of the negatives … but not all of it …

For now I’ll just say it’s really annoying playing this game on the Steam Deck … the controls are unintuitive in the dispatching part …

I was not a fan of the latest Knives Out movie ... it felt needlessly long and I really did not care about the reveal in the end ... starts out strong ... peters out in the middle ... dead on arrival in the end ...

just my opinion

Stranger Things is about how great the 80s ... rose colored glasses from people who never lived through it

Welcome to Derry indulges a bit in nostalgia but it doesn't shy away from issues from the time period (issues we're still facing right now!) making it the better show ... in my opinion
Honestly, it's wild that both It: Welcome to Derry and Stranger Things, already similar shows in terms of their Stephen King kids-on-bike style, both did very similar one-long-take action sequences, and I have to be honest... I think IT Welcome to Derry did it better.

I can't believe you actually liked it"

my bet on why Valve banned this is because of the Christian imagery ... Valve don't want to attract any more controversies because they're cowards ...

last steam deck related post then I'll shut up until the price reveal:

- predicted price - $650-700 for base specs with controller

that said, I think $800-1000 is a fair price. Valve needs to pay for RND, their design team, etc ... also, it's a console, no one's forcing you to buy one

Completely uncontroversial opinion that is not meant to discredit all the valid criticisms of LLMs (ethics of training data, energy use and effect on climate change, etc …) Simon himself acknowledges them. The replies to his original post were insane
At the risk of starting the flame war to end all flame wars...

Modern LLMs (GPT-5.1, Claude 4.5, Gemini 3) produce excellent code and can be a significant productivity boost to software engineers who take the time to learn how to effectively apply them - especially if used with coding agent tools
November 27, 2025 at 11:15 PM
the replies to this simple post acknowledging how different people have different experiences with LLMs are truly insane ... it's not even controversial to state that a significant number (not all!) of software engineers have found uses for LLMs and increased their productivity ...
I think that may be the core division here: if you are an author or an artist the cons of generative AI very likely outweigh the pros for you

If you are a software developer the opposite is true

people panicking about the Steam Machine price are funny. we all know you're going to buy it whatever price Valve puts on it and you'll all act like it's the second coming of Jesus

November 21, 2025 at 3:10 AM
man, the latest Valve announcement has brought out all the annoying Valve fanboys. I'm happy you guys are getting a new console (which I'll probably buy .. used) but none of the things they announced will "CHANGE GAMING FOREVER" ... Steam Deck was more exciting and that's gathering dust on my desk
November 14, 2025 at 2:48 AM
I honestly thought I'd be more excited for this ... but I barely play with my Steam Deck nowadays ... and SteamOS is ... well I'm not a fan of it ...that said, I'll probably buy a Steam Box in misguided belief to support Linux and open source stuff as much as possible
Welcome to fam, ya'll!
