The IUCN UK Peatland Programme-led motion to develop a unified definition of peatlands has successfully passed through its first stage, and is now headed to the World Conservation Congress for debate.

Last July, the #FlowCountry achieved @unesco.org World Heritage status. To celebrate, and raise funds for the Flow Country Partnership, #Peatland scientist, Roxanne Anderson, is undertaking an incredible 110km run on April 18th, World Heritage Site Day.🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Given the unequivocal need for a ban on the use of peat in the horticulture industry, it is very disappointing to see this news released yesterday by the Royal Horticultural Society www.rhs.org.uk/advice/peat/...
