Sorry for not having a podcast.
Despite having spent roughly 150 hours this year watching it, and enjoying lots of it, I wouldn’t say I’m a fan.
I liked the revival series’ a lot more than I expected and I preferred that finale a damn sight more than the original one

That finale is gash.
Hopefully the two mini series improve it but I know they won’t because the X Files whole thing what if we made a show that’s irritating.

Season 9 episode 19.
Time for “The Truth”
As much as I’ve disliked most of the last couple of seasons and the myth arc in general, the penultimate episode (Vince Gilligan’s farewell to the series) was odd but lovely so I’m going into the finale with more goodwill than anticipated

This. Ends. Tonight.

“Jump The Shark” is one of the worst executions of a recurring character’s exit from a show ever.
And not in a bajillion years would Scully do what she does at the end of “William”.
It’s been a long and pretty turgid road.
No idea what’s going on with the mythology anymore, the monsters of the week are proper Marenghi, even the cool ideas are wasted, Gillian Anderson’s pretty much tapped out.
Roll on the apparently crap 2nd movie and reboot.

Confident it’ll be over by Christmas, but they kept saying that about World War 2.
