No tram network in Leiden - but full of people of all ages riding bikes and walking around and quiet, mostly car free streets in the central area. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in NL!

A day trip to both Haarlem and Leiden! I could have spent several days in Leiden - so charming and peaceful, with all the things one loves about Amsterdam.

While DC endlessly debates the few ramshackle outdoor dining spaces we have, European cities of all sizes have incredible cafe and restaurant spaces in the public square - with permanently installed heavy duty umbrellas, outdoor heating, Christmas lights, and more.

Found out today there is a “Knowledge Management” initiative underway at my organization and when I asked for details they showed me an excel spreadsheet where they are planning on pasting direct links to important documents on SharePoint and Teams

As in the notoriously dangerous L St NW bike lane that was supposed to be turned into a protected cycle track after @mayorbowser.dc.gov inexplicably killed the K St Transitway bike lanes against DDOT recommendations? Sure seems like the Mayor’s indefensible meddling is getting people hurt!
