Any file that would have an actual impact on someone like that would have someone in that justice department click and drag a big ol box to cover up the whole thing before they release it. I'm sorry, what file??? Doesn't look like anything to me!

By their numbers, 2 weeks of crunch is the limit, followed by a week off, or else the quality of work dips so much that the bugs creates more work than it finishes

EA DICE eliminated crunch a decade ago:

No distractions, discussions, BS meetings, or social media

30-min lunch

Go home on time

They shipped Battlefield Hardline on time with no crunch. And I'm assuming everything since

Been saying for years, 85% of men don't wash their hands, 10% wash but not good enough, then the last 5% washes with soap, water, and proper technique for the requisite amount of time.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy was a classic. So much stuff crammed into the game. I remember how after finishing an arcade mode run, you could pick a box to get a reward. I couldn't do them back in the day, but watching the compilations of Babalities, Fatalities, Friendships, and Brutalities was too fun.

Capcom vs SNK 2 might've been one of the first fighting games I played online. Even with the mic. First game I ever tried to do combos in instead of mashing out specials. I remember the nude Mai char edit palettes shared online.

MvC2 had the most drawn out character unlocking process in fighting game history. Even worse than Smash Ultimate. You'd grind points by playing the game, and spend them on chars and stages. Took forever... But great fun in single player.

The local bodega had an MvC cab, so when I got that issue of Gamepro that had these tips and tricks in the back, I tore the pages out so I could reference the motion inputs on the cabinet. I was in the 2nd grade. They got me early...

The main problem I had aside from them saying not to buy is they kept showing other people's bug clips as though that's how the game was for everyone all the time. But sometimes it was just user error/bad config like refresh rate too low, or connections crossing oceans

I suspect there's no amount of ass you could throw at a civil rights attorney to sway them into supporting human rights violations

(if this post made you go "wtf?" then look it up; it is a thing, unfortunately)

That's valid, but I think there's a difference between that disappointment and discouraging a very large audience from buying the game. It's one thing to say that about a Street Fighter or what have you, but 8ing may never make another fighting game now.

I used to be a fan until he helped kill Nen Impact by telling people not to buy it

I spent weeks figuring out a reasonably-scoped game idea and taking notes on it, then started actually working on it and then found out someone already released something fairly similar.

Instead of getting mad that I already had competition, I decided to farm their negative steam reviews for ideas😈

This is almost like Netanyahu on Iranian nuclear capability ("6 months away" for over 30 years); people who don't write code for a living have been saying AI will replace software engineers in the next 6 months for about 3 years now
