I'm a rough-skinned newt now, if you were wondering.

How about a peaceful little hiking video to cap off and/or start your day? That sounds nice, doesn't it?

Alright, stand back then. I'm gonna tag the hell out of this bastard first:

The loneliness has been hitting hard lately. I knew it was going to be tough moving out here but, man, I don't know. Maybe it's just the change in the weather.

More attempt at nature journaling. Pen and water-soluble color pencils. My goal is to sketch things in situ as much as possible rather than from photos. But today, my toes got cold. Time to pull out the heavy winter rubber boots. #NatureJournaling

I'm simmering some mushrooms in a garlic/soy/honey/beef broth mix so I can dehydrate them into little umami bombs and now my house smells like a ramen shop and I'm not mad about it

I'd like to introduce you all to my childhood friend, the rough-skinned newt!

Fun fact: they secrete the same toxin that makes pufferfish deadly (tetrodotoxin) on their skin, which I did not know when I handled them frequently in my youth!

Why did "snarling animal" become such a popular motif with auto mechanics? How does getting mauled by a bear relate to rotating my tires?

In 2006 a high school English teacher asked students to write to a famous author & ask for advice.

KURT VONNEGUT - born 103yrs ago today - was the only one to respond.

His reply was a doozy.
