Trump has always wanted to be one of the cool kids in Manhattan. He's starstruck by someone who has that kind of charisma.

Just shows where they are headed.

It seems interesting to me that the right wing wants to portray itself to having certain values. They know which values are important to American society.

They just do not actually value those things themselves. It's like an AI chirping pre-fed information in response to a prompt.

They dismissed charges against the victim, not against the shooter.

I don't know. This is the first thing that's stuck to Trump for longer than a week. Bondi's claim that there were no Epstein files came on July 8. It's still front and center 4 months later, even after a month-long government shutdown. It is not going away.

That's not how science works, y'all.

No. The investigation has to be pertinent to the individual. Unless they are investigating Trump, that dog don't hunt. Blanket investigations are not allowed under this law.

The lawyers who crafted the bill were smart. They anticipated all kinds of attempts to escape transparency. No blanket claim of investigation is going to hold up. They'll try it, of course, so it will take a while. But a near-unanimous bill will be compelling to the courts. We will get the docs.
November 20, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Not to burst your bubble, but the bill was written to prevent that. Each redaction has to be documented individually, and can only be redacted for very narrowly defined reasons.

Sure, they will try that. But it won't hold up. The lawyers who wrote the bill knew what they were doing.

Read the bill. They can't redact without documenting every redaction individually. I get the knee-jerk reaction to doom and gloom, but the bill was written specifically to preempt attempts to redact or omit en masse.

The people who wrote the bill knew what they were doing.

If you’ve a survivor you already know how disorienting, humiliating, and crazy-making it is. Seeing it done publicly, on a world stage, is actually helping millions of survivors and therapists say: “See? That’s what it looks like. You’re not imagining it. You’re not ‘too sensitive.’ This is abuse.”

That is one gigantic but.

And the damage done. To the victims, to the rule of law, to the country. Incalculable.

The bill stipulates within 30 days. That's why.
November 19, 2025 at 6:16 PM
The bill doesn't allow for blanket investigations. It is very narrowly tailored to allow redaction or omission only for specific people under active investigation. Claiming that an investigation blocks everything simply isn't allowed by the bill.

@ecmclaughlin.bsky.social gave an detailed look at the bill on a video today. Blanket claims of privilege are not going to stand. The bill was written by some damn good lawyers who created very narrow options for redactions or claims of privilege, each of which must be explained in detail.

I've followed you on social media for ages, but never watched your show. But I watched today. It was phenomenal. Thank you for giving us such a well thought out and insightful look at the EFTA.

There's not a single financially literate person (or even a numerate one) in this administration or on Fox News.

A documentary about Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Running Down a Dream, showed clips of all the Travelling Wilburys in the studio recording this song. It was a joy to watch.

I hope you're right. It could cause months of delays though. And that's Trump's MO.
