I've had a hard time getting anything to grow from seed in our backyard most likely due to the 2 black walnut trees... but we've been successful with plugs and more established plants. Hence asking! But I'm going to look out for them. I was able to find some other asters, but I'd like more natives!

With the M shape on the head, it looks like the invasive Asian lady beetle to me.
