Keep pushing your politicians for:
- Zoning reform
- Simplifying/speeding up construction approval processes
- More direct federal/provincial investment into housing construction

I suspect treating WFH like that is useful when trying to answer a question like "if we put a new condo here, how many of those people will use a car/bike/etc during rush hour, and how many will work from home"?

But yeah, WFH is weird to include when you're talking about transportation mode share

To be clear, deflation is still bad for other reasons (job losses due to sticky wages, less incentive to invest, etc). But people postponing purchases is probably not one of them.

That said, it's great to see that such coups are a non-starter in a working democracy
