Lived mostly in Seattle; raised in Montana; now in the Midwest; MAGA are cockroaches

The difference between treason and patriotism is only a matter of dates. - Alexander Dumas
I hope that there's a way forward to do this. The party is only as good as the rot at the bottom and there's too much of it.

We need that bit of good news.

Krishnamurthy is going to win this. I heard one of the other two on a local NPR program (I'm in Illinois), and she was afraid of committing to Supreme Court reform. So we will have filled a seat that has been occupied by one of the worst Senators in our lifetimes.

The caucus needs leadership that aren't so congenial when the others stab us all in the back. This "club" mentality needs to go. I know, and it drives me nuts, that all of these Senators treat politics as a game. They all need to work together, but on the big issues, they shouldn't get a pass.

Huh?
November 10, 2025 at 9:14 PM
I'm just curious if there's enough pissed off Democratic voters in New Hampshire who'd vote to throw those two Republican-lite Senators out. The question is, how committed to moderate gridlock politics are people who come from these places? BTW, Fetterman is all over--he just doesn't know it yet.

I tried calling Durbin, who's always been a closet Republican. The line was on auto voicemail. So, I emailed. He's my Senator but he's retiring knowing that he'd lose in a blowout to just about anybody in a primary. Otherwise, he's the kind of weasely Democrat who'd stay with the rest of the pack.

We just had the biggest protest in American history. That surely must have scared, hmmmm, nobody? Really, in this country, the gloves come off when the 42% of 401K account holders lose their jobs. BTW, that probably will happen.

People who aren't from Seattle don't know that Medina is a completely upscale neighborhood that most anyone would feel privileged to live in.

I was there on the streets of Seattle for their only major sports championship. He was always a person of grace. Quiet, unassuming and always with a little smile on his face.

It's rumored he has ten minutes of the Microsoft flight simulator time so that should qualify him.

Are you kidding me? When the ACA premiums are so outrageous no one can afford them, the Republicans will have gotten their way on killing the program. The problem is that those people will show up at hospital emergency rooms and will have to be treated. This should cause a complete collapse.
November 10, 2025 at 8:58 PM
Trump will soon post on his joke social site that anyone who can prove that they've watched 1 hour of YouTube video on how to direct air traffic can apply for any of the air traffic controller jobs that may be open. If you've had experience with the Microsoft flight simulator that's a plus.

King is a, let me borrow a term from the 1980s, DOLT! That line about the Democrats can win anywhere as the candidates tailor their messages for their targeted constituencies doesn't work if the voters want politicians who will be cutting their throats. I kind of think these are Republicans at heart

The last standing was always going to be the maga true believers. In the end, maga will not be bestowed the honor of the Greeks who, despite their bravery, didn’t have two cents worth of common sense. Doubling down on political suicide though is a great analogy to the 300.

A new coin, a new face on Mt. Rushmore, the Kennedy Center rename, the tear-down of the East Wing. The whole idea behind Project 2025 was to grab as much power as possible, declare a mandate with a 1.5% victory margin, and remake the country in your own image. Governing is not a concern.

He focused on affordability with an eagle’s eye. The problem is that he made things less affordable.

One person sitting in the remainder of the White House gets paid to think of new awards to give to themselves.

An ultra maga platinum patriot actually has to pay more for coffee at Starbucks if they find out who you are. Plus they ask you to sit outside if you want to drink your coffee there.

One of my friends, an actress, posts links to some of their articles. I keep thinking she reads this miserable mishmash attempt at journalism because she needs to stay tuned into the NY entertainment sector and so I don’t say anything. They have an inarguably horrible history.

Real deep thinkers behind him mulling over his horseshit as if Aristotle gave them something to ponder.

I don’t think that politics as usual was at play here. Voters aren’t that smart. They respond to things like “vibes” and pictures. This was just a question of whether you want your standard of living and the country destroyed. A simple question posed to them with indisputable evidence.
November 6, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Science, biology and nature are too strong for me to think he can defy them and be around for a third term. He’s literally wasting away right in front of our eyes. They can try at Weekend at Bernie’s type of thing if voters would go for that. And they just might, but other than that. . .

I hope they take his record to heart and try to run on it. To the depth though that his BS is going to sell to anyone shows his complete detachment from reality. If destruction is your thing, then yes they have a great record.
