What does intersex masculine joy mean to you? Why is the representation of intersex men important? We want to hear from you.
Intersex joy as a man is... I guess aging very slowly! Laughing emoji. Being a boy was like being a mountain. But being a man is like creating waterfalls. Being intersex and trans bi gender helped me to be a waterfall, despite what everyone was telling me what a “real” man was supposed to be.

Intersex men and masculine people deserve visibility, body positivity, and joy - today and every day!
What brings me joy is meeting other intersex men! Intersex masculine joy is a culmination of my years of hard-work toward being happy in my own body. It’s why I’m so comfortable with my experiences that defy typical expectations of what masculinity “should” look like.

Today, we are celebrating intersex men, boys, and masculine people for #InternationalMensDay (November 19th!) by asking what intersex masculine joy means to them.
Intersex masculine joy is being at peace with yourself and your journey. So much of western masculinity feels tied to violence, and intersex masculinity to me means subverting the violence done to intersex bodies and instead being flamboyant, kind and protective of our communities.

This Transgender Awareness Week, we celebrate trans young people. Trans & intersex are different - trans people have a gender other than that assumed at birth, & intersex people are born with variations in reproductive anatomy. Some people are both! Regardless, we will find our freedom together.

So few people even know we exist, and the current US administration is trying to erase us as part of their attack against transgender people. If we don't speak for ourselves, who will? Why I Speak Out. Why I Speak Out. ​​Everyone should be able to choose what is best for their body. I was diagnosed with Klinefelters at 15 and given a choice to go on testosterone or not. But depending on the state I might not have that same choice if I’m transgender. Intersex and trans rights go hand in hand.
