This is Miss Daisy Mae, who we lost suddenly last year. She was me in cat form and decidedly my cat - full of anxiety and always one to give love, with a high EQ and an impeccable sense of when someone might need a cat. I miss her mightily.

I saw that the summer before my senior year (the year you write your thesis at my school), and I made a point of telling every other senior and junior about it. It was 2003, and I ended up backing up on disc, CD, paper, sent a copy to my mother, kept a hard copy in the fridge...

2/2 The writer has gotten everything approved & printed & lost everything in a house fire, including all notes, drafts, EVERYTHING. They wrote a summary of a year's worth of work from memory & notes from their advisor. Back it up! Multiple times, places, formats! #psa

On occasion, he'll just buy me a book he's heard about because he doesn't think I spend enough money on myself. I'll get a text from him telling me to check my email, and there'll be an Amazon gift message with a link and the message "BUUK!" or something similar. Gives me the warm fuzzies. 🥰
