"Not everyone can easily physically get to a public library so often, but they have access to a computer the only way they could get something is online"

oh fuck that's true. I wonder if the public library has anything that could work for people who need to read books digitally for free
November 24, 2025 at 6:47 PM
Hmm, but not every book is in a library, you say? gosh I wonder if I type in a book that's not in my public library? what's that underneath "contact us"? that seems like a funny way to say "impossible, go pay to pirate this"
November 24, 2025 at 6:40 PM
wow look, my novel isn't on the piracy site is available in 33 libraries!!
November 24, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Wow look! my book of essays is in 20 libraries but not on the piracy site behind a paywall! I wonder how much you have to pay to use the public library

Oh look! my book that is on the piracy site behind a paywall is in a bunch of libraries! I wonder how much you have to pay to use the public library

AI email written AS me is a first

Just a reminder that Paper Bill Press firmly believes that $$ must ALWAYS flow to the writer, and not from the writer. We are proud that our kickstarter has made sure our authors will receive a small 20$ honorarium as well as their author copies

two more fucking SECONDS later!!!

This is like the 30th AI scam email I have gotten about one of my books in the last month or two, and it really nails home exactly how I always figure out when a student has used ai in an assignment.

the specific soullessness of endless summary

Honoured to be a semifinalist for the Small Spec Book Award in the SF category, and thrilled to see the work being done by small presses celebrated in this way

Me arriving at the new Grad Orientation and needing to learn new names other than the one person I already know
August 27, 2025 at 4:06 AM
The most important thing you can learn about me is that I cannot be without an ongoing work. I finished writing a draft of my novel in May, and i've brushed it up, but mostly I've turned all my attention to a novella, which I'm properly into now

AI scammers spamming LinkedIn is so exasperating. Why do I even have an account there? like they don't even remove the grey around the lettering this is like a first year student trying to cheat on an essay

I’ve always believed in keeping my scholarship as accessible to the public as possible, but this tells me I think it’s time to delete academia.EDU

Between teaching and packing and writing, spring has moved so fast that I didn’t even notice the one year “birthday” of rabbits pass right by this week. It’s kind of hard to believe that this novel I spent years with all on my own, has been out in the world for 12 months.
