obvious caveat that there's room for both but i am VERY interested to see what ripple effects kpop demon hunters' runaway success will have on the next frozen. cos imo kpdh fleshes out a lot of the ideas in frozen's script that i've felt are kinda underbaked, and i wonder if other people will notice

also extremely underrated bob odenkirk performance sandwiched right between the end of breaking bad and the beginning of better call saul. most of how his character spends the season is downright infuriating but odenkirk really sells that this is just not a guy equipped to handle moral quandaries

cutting together the tomorrowland movie night and remembering what a genuinely good duo key & peele are in their three episodes of fargo. key's fbi agent seems to think he's dale cooper and peele bounces off that so fuckin cleanly

as 2025's winding down i can't help but feel genuine sadness that these songs are probably going to have to compete with one another for most of awards season. like i genuinely don't know if i could say i prefer one or the other, i think they both would have walked away with it any other year

was curious which movies i’ve ranked lower than tomorrowland and honestly, i think i stand by most of these. maybe i’d take half a star off lion king 2019 and give it to van helsing cos it’s not good at all but hardly worse than lion king 2019

on the one hand i think a lot of the ep was just fine but on the other, i liked the ending - it’s the kind of idea that runs dangerously close to feeling like a moralizing copout but for the most part i felt they pulled it off
