I'm reading "Dragons of Autumn Twilight" for the first time at the moment, and loving every page! It had been a long time since I'd read adventure/fantasy books, and it's my first D&D-related one. Enjoy the adventure!

Hard to explain, but they got it!
To teach about parallels and meridians (latitude, longitude and coordinates) in year 7 I used pieces of string. They each held one end of a string, and made a square with the net of smaller squares inside. Each pair holding the same string had a number, and from that we got the coordinates.
