This post has gained some traction so as an ex-evangelical let me say it’s not just the girls. Evangelicalism is definitely sexist and boys are treated better but ALL evangelical kids are pushed into abstinence and purity culture. I signed one of these pledges with dozens of other boys.

Great news everyone, the last 5 months HAVE been a dream.
Yes, 2024 is the year we are in if you use the Gregorian calendar and label it Anno Domini (AD) or Common Era (CE). However, depending on where you are in the world, the year may be different. For example, in the Jewish calendar, 2024 is 5784, and in the Roman calendar, it is 2762. In some other calendars, 2024 may be 1445, 2567, 113, 2016, or even 6.

Google’s AI Overview answer to the question “is it 2025” As of May 27, 2025, it is not 2025. However, 2025 is the current year in the Gregorian calendar, which is the most widely used calendar in the world. The year 2025 is the 2025th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD), which is Latin for "the year of the Lord". It is also the 25th year of the 21st century and the 3rd millennium.
