If the sand can’t touch the water, why bother? Should’ve kept it a green park

The 215 Rapid bus is the busiest bus line in the system and the mayors office has removed a portion of the dedicated bus lanes that serve it... as part of the deal they made with the San Diego Zoo on paid parking.
And, this past week Caltrans/city removed the dedicated bus lane on Park Blvd. We’re going backwards, transit-wise. The airport, Balboa Park, and Harbor lack transit facilities because we don’t care. Transit service is completely missing from the BP parking fiasco dialogue. Backwards…

Oh didn’t even consider that. Now that you mention it, that might have been more likely 😅

Tbf, that section of 30th has no bike lanes. Then again, it doesn’t because the city is waiting for that specific construction to finish to repave that road with newly marked lanes lol

I’ve said this before, but congestion pricing went well in NYC cause they had viable public transit. Our city leaders didn’t bother to put in the preliminary work to make the buses viable. They don’t give a shit about transit, they will always compromise for cars.

I don’t know what else to say. The city really wants to force us to drive and pay those fucking fees.

Wait, the bus lane on that overpass? The Mayor and CalTrans actually went through with that!?
