hm I'm a socialist as well and I think being extremely racist to customers is reasonable grounds for being let go.

Workers of all kinds deserve better protections, but we can see what you're doing choosing this as your news peg to argue that otherwise good point in the fucking Atlantic.
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

Now, about that trillion-dollar bonus :)

My God, it’s a full-court press to get her out. A Fed govt that could not care less about prison conditions suddenly cares…

And this does not leave me thinking he is drawing neat lines between federal and state jurisdiction.

He wants to be a dictator, and he just tries to get away with whatever he can.
Seems like a significant out-loud statement from Trump here, said in the context of his legal-stretch AI EO (not his legal stretch pardon, hard to keep it all straight today).

So I get the point that this could just be a preemptive federal pardon for federal crimes no one has charged her with (and I assume will be outside the statute of limitations by the time Trump leaves).

But then why did the Feds just try to get her transferred to a Fed prison for her state crime?

And I said I’m now the Pope.

Both statements deserve the same level of respect.

I don’t want to see “experts say Trump can’t pardon a state conviction.”

That’s like “experts say sun rises in east, and some scientists claim water is two hydrogen atoms attached to an oxygen atom.”

It’s just a fact.

He CANNOT do this.

And the media DAMN well better get their coverage right.
Trump says he's pardoned Tina Peters, but that may not save her from prison
Trump has no jurisdiction over state-level cases to offer the pardon.

“He did not shape the film’s editorial content, and any questions about its claims or messaging should be directed to the producers.”

But they chose not to give us a comment on record.

Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!
