I know nothing about Age of Sigmar, will this make any sense as a one-off encounter with the lore? I did love the lizardmen in og warhammer back in the 90s tho.

Don’t you just halve it and whack it a club of some sort till all the seeds have fallen out?

Aaah these are all so fantastic ❤️ absolutely love the style

Agreed, this was a fun one. I saw it in a local film festival without knowing anything about (picked it because it fit my schedule) and was really pleasantly surprised. As mentioned, great performances (and characters!).

I can only hope that the current backlash against AI content is something that will not fade away, but instead gain more steam as the full societal and artistic impact of it is seen.

Thanks, this is a great collection! I hate hate hate the way AI is transforming the game industry especially on the art side, but I have to admit that your slides on the subject were pretty good and nuanced.

And while I'm not looking for a service design job myself right now, I hear a lot of stories how insane the field is right now. If really seasoned pros like you are finding it hard, I can imagine how disheartening it is for anyone who started studying it in post-COVID boom years for example.

Exactly the same experience. We tried to recruit for a senior service designer around 2021, got some 20 applications, 10 of them had no experience and most others were good candidates for a junior position. Luckily a few were really great junior candidates and we ended up up hiring one of them.

Hey, sent you an question over email about a small indie commission. No worries if it's not your bag, just wanted to make sure it didn't end up in a spam folder as gmails quite often do.

Why not do both?

Still, I do want to somehow utilize the movie sounds also, maybe by layering some elements of them on top of whatever sounds I build. I really want this game to sound like (slightly modern interpretation of) a 70s/80s action film.

Thanks for reply! I really dislike subscription services, so I think I'll buy some kind of audio pack. I was thinking of Boom library's GUNS bundle, but Aftertouch might be an option, as I could just buy a bunch of the firing sound packs in different calibers, that wouldn't be too expensive I guess.
September 28, 2025 at 6:29 PM
I'd love to be able to hire a sound designer to do all this, but at the moment my budget (coming out of my own pocket) isn't much, so I'll probably have to do this my own self.

youtu.be/q6SyqkclvRs?... there's this guy who's captured a ton of sounds from different films which I'd like to use as reference, but I'd also want the whole to feel cohesive so the style of the weapon sounds isn't all over the place. And probably a lot of other problems I havent thought about.

Ofcourse if anyone is interested in helping create the weapon sounds, that'd be great but I'd also massively appreciate some advice on how to specifically get around to replicating some kinda specific sounds in a way that'd still sound good and FPS-y. Wonderland should sound like an 80s action film.

Big businesses fold because they're game theory-ing that they won't face any meaningful blowback later on if they now give in to the right's demands. They're kinda right, because it's a good bet that the democrats won't retaliate if/when they gain power again. That needs to change.

Next up is reimplementing the weapons with their actual animations and FOV, then it's on to adding some enemies to shoot at.

The basic idea of the gravity sync is that normally the changing gravity doesn't affect any of the enemies/objects, but with the ability, the player can sync the gravity of the environment with their own, thus causing the enemies to fall down from great heights to their grisly doom.
