My eternal gripe on something that's strangely divisive is that FUPA does NOT mean "lower belly", but the pubic fat area, AKA the mons pubis. You don't need to have a larger belly to have one, either-- nor do you always get a FUPA when you're fat. Lower bellies are great! But they aren't FUPAs!!
a sloppy little explanation of how FUPA is an acronym for "Fat Upper Pubic / Pussy Area", and how it refers to the mons pubis area, with a lazy diagram differentiating the lower belly in blue and the mons pubis in red doodles of a femme person with their lower belly shaded blue and their mons pubis, the FUPA, in red more doodles of various figures with varying genitalia in similar treatment-- the lower bellies in blue, the mons pubis..es..? (FUPAs) in red
