Got some ingredients to make toner and wondered if it was possible to tone bleach bypassed RA4 prints and what it'd look like if I tried. Just a quick test with some test prints I already had but I'll do more in-depth testing later

Got a couple rolls of Kodak Aerocolor IV to play with recently but haven't really been in the mood to go out and take pictures lately since it's been cold. Definitely curious to see if I can get good slides out of it

A past experiment from the archives (March 2025):
Somehow managed to get black and white direct positives using Oxiclean as bleach on 30-ish year old Kodak Polycontrast paper and was never able to replicate the results no matter what I did

Forgot I had some badly stored 4x5 Ektachrome 100 Plus that expired in 1994. If I overexpose by 3 stops and cross process in ECN-2 I get a very fogged negative. So I gave it another shot in my current reversal process by pulling it and was surprised at what I got

Reversal processed a short roll of Vision3 50D, because I realized I hadn't done it yet
Shot at ISO 12, heavily edited in an attempt to correct a strong violet color cast
1st dev was HC-110 dil A for 7 min at 110F, 2nd was ECN-2 for 5 min at 110F

Old post I just came across but oh my god this is cursed, color infrared shots by stacking Vision3 50D (without remjet) on top of Rollei Infrared

I got a Polaroid Palette HR6000 today so I had to get a computer set up with a SCSI card and install the software and whatnot. So then I turn the thing on and it's detected by the computer. Then I suddenly start smelling the rancid fish smell of leaking capacitors. God dammit. I love 90s electronics

Thinking about that bit from Hidamari Sketch lately where they're playing with a Polaroid camera and Miyako is shocked about how much the film costs. Funny how well it's aged. 160 yen per shot is semi-accurate to current pricing AFAIK. And they're talking about Polaroid too and not Instax

Some more fun and crappy lenses: Took a couple addon lenses meant for point and shoots, taped them mouth to mouth (or ass to ass?), and stuck it on my fastest lens

One thing I've been wanting to talk more about (but haven't for some reason) is RA4 paper reversals. I feel like my process for that is pretty consistent but I'm not quite happy with the results most of the time. The 1st developer is the most difficult part in my experience

Kinda wanting to get some lomochrome purple to have some fun with, especially since it's technically the only way to do color channel swaps in the darkroom lmao

I've been wanting to experiment with/torture some fresh Ektachrome but it's way too expensive in 35mm... so instead I bought a Minolta 16 and 100ft of Ektachrome E100D in 16mm. Here's what it looks like cross processed in ECN-2

Shot a roll of "Fuji" 400 and developed it (sort of) normally just as a point of reference. Decided that I'd go exploring by driving around aimlessly, completely forgetting that I live in purgatory. Then I went home and took pictures of my dog and my chickens. Exciting

Saw a bunny the other day while my chickens were out and about. If you're wondering what the colors are like on digital cameras without any infrared blocking filters (and after setting the white balance), here you go:

Here's the first accidental double exposure I've had so far with my usual film camera (Canon EOS Rebel II) which happened because the battery died right after the shutter closed. When I replaced the battery it remembered where it was in the roll but didn't advance and exposed that frame again
