This originally started as a no-pressure experimental piece that I didn't want to allow my perfectionism to take too seriously. But then I began adding the coyote's fur texture and had to be deliberate because I love fur texture and I love coyotes.

Reasons to love coyotes - Coyotes are a “keystone species.” - They’re vital to the health of entire ecosystems thanks to keeping rodent populations under control. This means fewer pests (like ticks!) and thriving vegetation. - Despite persecution, coyotes are incredibly resilient and adaptable as a species. - Watching coyotes socialize is like watching a dramatic Shakespearean play!
