In less than a week, Al Pinkerton MP will be introducing a Bill calling for the government to open negotiations with the EU for a new Customs Union.

Research shows since leaving the EU the UK’s GDP has been damaged by 6-8% a new CU could return £25bn a year or more.

There are players who embody their clubs and are interchangeable with them. For West Ham see Billy Bonds and for Billy Bonds see West Ham.

RIP BONZO

Claret and blue, through and through: Billy Bonds embodied West Ham
That he stayed after relegation in 1978 and lifted the FA Cup with the team still in Division Two typified his commitment

My old man has a Billy Bonds story. When interviewing Sir Trevor , they asked him what he did if he was ever badly fouled & he said, “ l went over and told Billy.”

RIP the great Billy Bonds. Fantastic lionheart, maybe the best ever uncapped English player. I once told him how much I wished he'd played for Spurs. Gave me a very old-fashioned look. What a man.

West Ham United have confirmed the death of longest-serving player Billy Bonds MBE at the age of 79.

Bonds captained West Ham to two FA Cup wins and a Second Division title over 799 appearances after moving from Charlton Athletic.

Billy Bonds stands unrivalled as the longest-serving player in West Ham’s history, having made a total of 799 appearances across a 21-year career, four Hammer of the Year awards, and awarded two testimonials, a PFA merit award and an MBE for services to football.

RIP Bill, we will always love you.

Look at the atrocities that Putin & Russia have committed against Ukraine. Russian soldiers butcher, & torture Ukrainian POWs. Raped Ukrainian women and children. Targeted children's cancer hospitals, bombed maternity wards.

Do not condone these war crimes? Russia and Putin must be held to account.

Vote, and stand with Ukraine and freedom. McCain would. Reagan would. General Marshall would. General Patton would. Appeasing Putin is repugnant and anti-American. Let's not forget that Russia is our adversary.

I beg the United States Senate & the U.S. House of Representatives to support Ukraine. Russia is our adversary, not a partner. Russia is a terrorist state, not a civilized country. Putin is a war criminal. The country that won WWII cannot be the country that rewards this generation's Hitler, Putin.

Why did Nuno bring on the useless Kraut and take off Wilson who always puts his heart and sole into the match? Well played Areola otherwise we would be in even more trouble. This is going to be a very difficult season with this squad of crap players! Need some changes in January URGENT.

What a disgrace Trump/Vance and the USA is, in making Ukraine surrender to a brutal adversary whilst calling it a settlement. They obviously have little regard in defending democracy.

Let’s hope Europe steps up.

As the centre of political gravity shifts towards ever more punitive policies, & not part the democratic mandate.
It’s not about Shabana Mahmood’s identity or migrant background.
Politics shaping is by the loudest voices of division, & not democratic values that the vast majority of us believe in.

Now that the LibDems are below the Greens in the polls, will Ed Davey realise that appearing stand-up at live at the Apollo is not the way to get the public’s support? Time for LibDem MPs to call time on his hopeless leadership.

Lady Clementine was talking to a street sweeper. "What did you talk about?” Asked Churchill
She smiled, "Years ago he was madly in love with me."
Winston said,”So you could have been the wife of a street sweeper today"
′′Oh no, my love, had I married him, he would have been the Prime Minister today.

Ive never understood the concept of ‘winning’ a mandate?

Nuno’s strategy of not having his best West Ham side on the pitch until 20 minutes from the end doesn’t seem to be working.
October 24, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Clearly not a managerial problem at West Ham; the club is clearly populated with crap players. How does Pacqueta stay on a football pitch for 90 minutes. The hammers need fighters not posers!
