He knows his audience. When people are struggling under cost of living crisis, any talk of reducing prices and that too through taxes is music to their ears.

I've already read it and agree with essentially all of it. They also point out that the central thesis of the book is actually "we can do this, but we should do it slowly and carefully so we don't screw up, and it will probably take centuries and not look like sci-fi but more like Antarctica"

Highly recommend this 2024 book which just tells you in vivid detail using science how unlikely it is that we will be able to do it in near future or if ever. Hence the question in subtitle “should we settle space”
