I've already read it and agree with essentially all of it. They also point out that the central thesis of the book is actually "we can do this, but we should do it slowly and carefully so we don't screw up, and it will probably take centuries and not look like sci-fi but more like Antarctica"

Highly recommend this 2024 book which just tells you in vivid detail using science how unlikely it is that we will be able to do it in near future or if ever. Hence the question in subtitle “should we settle space”

That the self-appointed toughest journalist in Silicon Valley would rather lobby the White House rather than explain to Elon that violating labor law and trying to destroy the NRLB (not to mention ongoing securities, Autopilot, and environmental investigations) has consequences is the ENTIRE problem
