If you're a tech journalist and you write about generative AI to discuss how some new tech can perfectly replicate (famous game) visually, and you don't *immediately* turn the entire article into discussing unauthorized training sets and copyright infringement, I no longer trust anything you write.

a good friend and I were talking about AI and we agreed that AI is like PEDs: it'll wildly accelerate those who have the talent and the skills, but won't make a Tour de France rider out of someone who rides a bike twice a week.
