Vulnerable road users are not difficult to see if you’re a competent driver - driving to the conditions and when driving to test standard

Is it that focusing on supposed ‘visibility challenges’ is focusing on the wrong challenge?

Over to you @dubcitycouncil.bsky.social - let's get the rest of the Dodder Greenway built. South Dublin County Council has shown us how it's done, time to finish the job.
With the completion of the Butterfield Ave/Firhouse Road section of the Dodder Greenway it is now possible to cycle ~13km from Ely's Arch to the Bohernabreena Reservoir Park (almost) entirely off road.

Opinion: We need a lower speed limit now to make our towns safer for everyone

We call on @darraghobrientd.bsky.social to issue a commencement order without delay to implement the 30km/h default speed limit for the 85 built-up areas already defined in law.

We can't afford to wait another 18 months for safer roads, and we don't need to.

So dangerous and antisocial. I often have to prep visitors to Ireland that they cannot trust any green traffic lights when out walking!

This video of red light breakers in Phibsboro dates from 11 years ago but will feel familiar to anyone who walks around Dublin today.

The culture of impunity is so ingrained that people don't even see it for the antisocial behaviour that it undoubtedly is.
