Will #politicslive report on the market's positive reaction to the budget?

BBC'S Zefman into alchemy by assuring us that a lower deficit than expected means there was forecast available.
A deficit mea s there is a negative e amount of cash Henry.

The BBC has been hell bent on bringing the government down for many months now. They amplify opposition rants and generate stories on the flimsiest of evidence. Negativity and devil's advocacy are their tools.

Chris Mason trying to claim Starmer is putting party before country! I would say that a government that listens to its elected MP's, and by definition their electorate, is the essence of democracy. Mason is desparate to put a negative spin on the government and the Labour party.

Seems to me the interested parties reached a consensus. Sounds like democracy to me, a concept alien to BBC journalists on #newsnight

Completely agree with you. I find that the media are trying hard to discredit Starmer. At what point do we start looking for wins? Where is the positivity? Chris Mason trying for a gotcha moment came off as an idiot. Is he the best BBC can do?

BBC 6 O'clock: LABOUR ACCUSED OF PUTTING PARTY BEFORE COUNTRY.

Watches report.

Chris Mason: Prime Minister are you putting party before country?

So, just Chris Mason accusing then?

God journalism is so piss poor these days.

BBC journalists are questioning the PM, Chancellor and Labour MP's with
anger and venom in the tone of their voices. They are incapable of hiding their hatred of the Labour party. Hardly a mention of the vile rantings of Badenoch at the dispatch box yesterday.

To date the net cost, for UK tax payer, to bail banks in 2008 is around £33 Billion. In November Rachel Reeves should recoup every penny by taxing banks accordingly. Remember Fred the Shred and his massive pension? He and his banking colleagues are laughing at the nation. Tax them.

Thinking about UK, misinformation crisis & attempts to sow distrust in expertise...
#BBC should stop chasing big audiences and offering 24 hr news, and return to what it was long valued for: reliability.
- fact-checked reports vs instant reaction
- grown-up science & research vs. edutainment
