I love how much his environmentalism has evolved through his games. I agree with you, but I always feel so motivated to limit how much crap I build into the landscape. It's one reason why I play offline, because seeing tons of unconsidered bridges and generators everywhere depress me

Yeah! And in a way I need to better articulate later, it changes my relationship to the land that.. disappoints me. That development takes the grandeur out of the land in such a profound way. It makes me so aware of my footprint, and adds to the feeling that I'm undoing some great work of rewilding

It is a shame, yeah. We're running out of institutions to respect at such a rapid rate, which will in turn motivate them to lean into AI bullshit instead of seeing the forest for the fucking trees
