sometimes it feels like everyone on here has the same opinions and that annoys me. i kinda miss having an algorithm so i can see more. going out of my way to see different things typically doesn't work in my favor

These Celebs care more about staying close to money and status than making sense. When they mess up, people get loud for a few days, then it fades. The delusion always resets. A nine day tale, every time.

Gen Z is absolutely cooked. Boomers really destroyed this country and failed every generation after them.
Id sincerely rather put a gun in my mouth than get a 50 year mortgage or a 15 year car loan. I just could not imagine.

I think The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide Serum might be my holy grail for the colder months. My skin doesn't feel or look as matte when I wear it under my toner (I use the Advanced Replenishing one)

Lmao. I know that traditional house tracks are at least 6 minutes long but there are times where I'm like "okaaaay it's time to wrap this up 😀👍🏾"

Someone made a comment about how it feels like we are experiencing a money laundering scheme. It’s like when Citibank and U.S. marines stole gold, and money from Haiti to build the Eiffel Tower. This is why we say fascism is colonialism turned inwards. Capitalism is legalized money laundering.

this is what pisses me off the most about seeing "vote blue" Black folks blaming Black progressives for standing on business

y'all keep letting them play in your faces then get mad at the folks who refuse to go along?? THE JIG BEEN UP...WE WAITING FOR Y'ALL TO WAKE UP
They caved in March so they could get a better deal now. They’re caving now so they can get a better deal in some indeterminate future. The better deal is always just beyond their reach, but continuing to cave will get them there. And if you don’t agree with that, you don’t understand Politics,

Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous

I'm listening to some of Zohran Mamdani's music from his Young Cardamom day and I personally think this is really good. Okay Blasia!

Wall of Voodoo was a painfully underrated New Wave band

I'm honestly so glad that you asked because at that time I saw people listing it on eBay for like $60+ in VG- condition at most but now there are more reissues around the $40 price range

Omg I'll never forget when I was at JB's Record Lounge in West End in summer of 2024 and I saw a sealed Aquemeni vinyl for $40. I brushed it off because I thought I would get it for a cheaper price online. Boy was I so wrong 😭 I'm still mad at myself for not buying it then and there.

The way the crowd in Ibiza in the 2020s LOST THEIR SHIT over a song that was released in Detroit in 1987…

Yes. That’s exactly why I think THE CULTURE needs to not just honor these artists, but also break them off some money. A perfect example of that is how Defected made a big deal of reissuing Marshall Jefferson’s work.

Fuck Larry Sherman forever!
It's not absurd to say that a lot of new dance music that's being put out now has already been done by a person in Chicago or Detroit 30-40 years ago. It also bothers me seeing scalpers resell their records for an insane while the original artist(s) have made little to money after putting them out
Also, it’s videos like these that make the conversation about dance music muddy. The industry fucked over a lot of Black artists and still does. However, the culture itself has always been DEEPLY reverential and VERY well-versed in it’s history.
