There are tens of millions of voters who preferred the populist, isolationist, and mercantilist reasons behind the impetus. If not Trump, then something after Trump. It could be a democrat, should voting coalitions shift. We're complaining about the fruit but the blight is in the roots.

"War on the left," was either locked and loaded in their heads or it's being pushed as a talking point. I can't believe the murder of an internet troll (on the same day as yet another school shooting) is what tips the whole thing over.

You realize that Charlie Kirk’s own trolling of people, including praising Paul Pelosi’s attacker, helped fill the cesspool were in with more shit? My condolences to his family. I’m sorry for his kids. No family deserves this. But let’s not forget who he was.

That could be depressing the numbers for first time claims. So where are the big layoffs? They're stealth layoffs that won't raise claims. Also, the problem the BLS has, are companies not responding to the employment survey.

It's a weird economy. Instead of laying off, the policy becomes return to office, and the office move two states away. When folks quit they generally don't qualify for unemployment. On top of that, the gig economy may keep some people from filing for unemployment.
