I don't know the answer off the top of my head. Instinct tells me that they can refuse. People would usually organise outside of working hours or take AL. If it were a redundancy situation then an employer would have to give you time off but not the case here.

Thanks. It's been super hard this last few months since hospital discharge but work have been great with me. It was nice to go it alone today and do some proper generalist appointments
