What customers? Fedora is a community led project, their customers are paying for RHEL, not Fedora.
If the same policy was implemented into RHEL, there would be nothing anyone could do apart from whine and complain since all the development and policymaking happens behind closed doors, like windoze

Hopefully this will be met with en pushback that it will get repealed.
