That's something I've been realizing as of late. Making things I enjoy because I enjoy making them is reason enough to make them.

I've trained myself hard in a wide range of visual styles and they're all so fun to play in, the fact I felt any kind of shame seems kinda silly now that I've been thinking about it lol

I used to get really insecure about it because it felt like I was ruining my "brand image" or whatever by not sticking to one look.
But I think I'd rather just accept that I enjoy these different almost contradictory styles and have fun with them without worry.

Yeah! It's got some nice colors. Certain custom texture sets make much better use of it than the vanilla textures

tbh I'm sometimes tempted to make a texture set in Quake 1 because even though it's infamous for how brown it is, it has some beautiful color ramps in it's palette

I've always loved doing that kind of thing, both mechanical details and shiny metal and I can't believe I haven't done this kind of thing as much in recent years.
