Gaunt Brothers leaving the sport HELPS YOUR CLIENTS. If NASCAR made it sustainable to run an open car, that would DECIMATE the value of charters, the CRUX OF THE LAWSUIT. Either Kessler is braindead, or watched movies to learn what being a lawyer is all about.

Random thoughts on F1/Superlicense/etc
I agree archaic is the wrong term (the truly archaic model of F1 being open to anyone who can get a seat and F1 not being a franchise based touring series and instead actually being the Pinnacle of Motorsport it claims to be is better) and I agree that its really good at its job, but the problem is the job of it is to build a closed off pipeline to F1. Its not about finding the best drivers in the world, its about keeping the FIA's lil european club its own club. I feel like in no logical world should something that is supposed to gatekeep drivers for the supposed pinnacle of motorsport value beating whoever happened to be born at roughly the same time as each other over competing with long term stalwarts of IndyCar like Scott Dixon or Will Power (and this can be extended to Superformula and to an extent sportscars, but the ability to be carried there makes it tricky but I digress). Even if you don't think Scott Dixon or Will Power are that good, which they are, the fact that they've both lasted 2 decades in a top national series in a strong racing nation on their own talent merits says a lot, a lot more to me than beating a random assortment of 17 year olds that has little benchmark to how actually good they are.
