I will say, I do not wish to see crocodile tears from people cheering on 23XI when a quarter of the tracks on the schedule are turned into warehouses, if they should win.

I have a strong feeling that a large portion of NASCAR's woes over the past several years is the same reason why IndyCar hasn't gone to Mexico

i'd go even further and say there is a reason even nixon kept this kind of stuff to himself. you would have to go back quite a bit to find a point at which is acceptable for a president to say anything like this *in public*, to say nothing of in the oval office.
I don’t want to be pollyannish about the past, but it was basically inconceivable twenty years ago that a president would say this publicly

I feel like comparing "literally the last race of a race car you've had 8 years of R&D on/15 years of R&D on the chassis" costs to "3rd year of a brand new car" costs is not a worthwhile idea. Especially when you consider the economic conditions in that time span.

That's it! That's Turkey Derby 52 folks. They stuff it into 1 after a 25 minute red and that's it. Curfew or time limit or whatever got it. I walk into the warming tent for a few, hear motor revving, walk out and I see the winner doing donuts and a tow truck hooking up to a tow truck
