Ah wait I just read @mmalex.bsky.social post again and I think he’s saying the search is just matching file name but zooming to the area of similar sounds :)

I bought it ages ago, I think I’ve opened it two or three times 🤣 agree that it probably tries to be too many things. I do not really understand how the filtering works in what you guys are making, how does your program know what an 808 sounds like? It’s been trained on sounds including those?

When there are so many great alternatives (my favourite being self hosted Forgejo), why sit there complaining when they could just move 🤷🏽‍♂️

It’s interactive, it’s tailored to specific projects I’m working on, I can ask it questions, it has a knowledge base bigger than I’d be willing to find space for in a book 🤷‍♂️

Tools change but humans stay the same. Some will stay on the surface of things and others will go deep; “I have a calculator now I’m a mathematician!”, “I have an iPhone now I’m a photographer!”, “I have Claude now I’m a …!” - on and on and it goes, but in the right hands 🤌🏽

...and it depends what your goals are. Everyone is different :) I want to _learn_ Rust, so my use case there is different. If I'm making some web component for the 100th time with some small variation - I'll just get Claude to do it with specific instructions, check it's sensible, done.

I've been learning Rust and using Claude as my teacher. I use the CLI tool as well as the web interface. I've given very specific instructions about its role; it has to provide links to documentation, tell me about key theory to research, only provide pseudo-code etc. It's all about how we use them.
