Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio is a lovely film. It's always fun to play spot the del Toro trope with these things in all his works. Perfectly bittersweet ending too, even if the final shot is very much Pan's Labyrinth again.

Narc (2002) very much has that late 90s/early 00s post-Seven scuzzy grimy city look nailed down but it's a pretty good cop thriller, mostly powered by Ray Liotta's performance. Boy does it have some very of its time editing though. Split screens, grainy flashbacks, the works.

Having got through all 13 original DBZ minimovies, the jump in quality between all previous 11 and Fusion Reborn is astounding. Actual fight choreography beyond beam attacks, great villain design and a frankly amazing teleport animation where he disassembles himself like disappearing Lego pieces.
