It's long bugged me that there's a lot of people that don't really want a pet or to "adopt an animal". They want an emotional slave.

So... I'm a literary translator, and I've been very surprised to find that from the about twenty fiction books I've been commissioned, only one had a slightly different style and voice to it. Would you say creative writing MAs have something to do with it or is it due to market forces?

Es curioso, porque, por el otro lado, escribir un texto requiere muchos menos recursos materiales. Claro que se puede hacer puro dibujo a lápiz sobre servilleta, pero, seamos honestos, ¿quién se queda satisfecho con eso? Explorar materiales es parte fundamental de la creatividad plástica, creo.

En mi vida creativa he pasado de escribir literatura a hacer cómic y ahora a hacer juegos de mesa. Es impresionante cómo en cada paso ha mejorado la compañía. Como si qué tan "alta cultura" sea algo determinara el tamaño de los egos con los que tienes que lidiar.
