So having played the BantRec deck for a while now I have got to say that this makes me want to run a Wilderness Reclamation deck in commander. I love activating land so much.

I might build Preston Garvey as my Lands deck focusing on activating land abilities a billion times. Treat him like another Wilderness Reclamation.

A big part of my Value Vintage deck seemingly is powered by just a girl sitting in her little cabin or maybe even apartment reading books.
Her home is a Study and a Kitchen and she is the only "person" in the deck with Ardenvale and Colonnade being the finishers
It's such a cozy feeling deck.

When pitching @valuevintage.bsky.social at SCGCon the presenters were trying to focus on Modern and Legacy combos you can play cheap which doesn't actually appeal to me personally.
Instead it is the new cards the format champions... A Bant Control deck that brings life to one frankly awful card.

So one of the Value Vintage players last week has Gaak Roots, and when talking about why he explained he comes from Yu-Gi-Oh and as a deck it plays the most like YuGiOh which is fascinating. Im used to people mentioning that as a negative, but here it actually brings him in.

Alright yall... I did it, I ordered the pretty foil $20 Avatar Roku. You all have peer pressured me into caring about aesthetics without even trying. Also FOMO has hit me, I saw his price jump from $12 non-foil to $20 non-foil and decided I wasn't missing out like I did with Sauron.

Alright so I have 4 decks for Value Vintage and am thinking I want to get the Humans list from the examples list to round out my collection and then focus on brewing.
As Foretold as a card fascinates me, but idk if its actually all that good. I know it lets me cast suspend spells which seem strong.

So Brokkos is slowly coming together as a Reanimator//Mill deck which makes sense. My deck building goals were very open outside of wanting some funny beaters for my commander to become cuz I like how Mutate works on a commander.
The Mill aspect of the deck will want shored up but this seems fun.

Rather fun/funny new vehicle came out in Avatar, Phoenix Fleet Airship copies itself every turn you sacrifice something and then turns itself on when you have 8 of them.
Treasure generators are good, but limiting it to mono-black doesn't seem great.
Idk... skyboat funny.
