She has been awesome most weeks. The cha cha did not agree with her.

I am massively of this opinion. The meeja should also stop referring to the chancellor of the exchequer as "Rachel".

CS Lewis was wrong.

What do these £1100 phones do that my £150 motorola doesn't?

(One answer is "play resource-intensive games" but if you don't do that, why are you buying an expensive phone?)

I am beginning to get the impression that #BBCAQ on #BBCRadio4 is far less of a Reform-UK platforming exercise than #BBCQT on television. Has anyone done the stats on this? Are Reform-UK voters too thick to listen to #BBCRadio4?

To me it is 99.99973% astrological bullshit. I am allegedly a "boomer" but my wife (9 months younger, same school year) is "GenX". Is that why we do not always see eye to eye on stuff? Duh, no.

Seconded. Well played, General.
November 28, 2025 at 7:25 AM
Yeah, @number10cat.bsky.social, why don't you point that out to your housemates?

I had thought that, followed by "I learned the Arabic script but can never read those very-stylised inscriptions, I am not going to try."

Once he has finished watching the video, maybe he could send some texts with the keyboard click sound turned right up.

Why is there no data for the 1st vigintile? There must be 1/20 of the population in it, by definition.
November 27, 2025 at 2:40 PM
(a) TIL that "vigintile" is a word

(b) Why are there no data (and presumably no people) in the first vigintile? Surely the point of n-tiles is that they all have the same number of people in them.

It would be hard to defend 40GS when the Crew, Grant, Sanderson and Ashworth buildings (1920s-ish) are built as if they were worried about cannon-fire and look as if they will be there for the foreseeable future.

Same on all fronts. I am beginning to think that I will cease to take any further interest in this sportsball business.

Quite pleased with a birdie, given the unpromising start.

Important practical notes:

(1) You are entitled to have a trade union rep in a protected conversation with you.

(2) You might not find out that a meeting is a protected conversation until you are in it, in which case you can refuse to continue until you have a trade union rep join you.
